Many customers think that if the damaged area is small, the price to repair should be cheaper. That's an understandable assumption for the average person. The truth is that whether it's a chip the size of a dime, or a scrape across the entire panel, the steps required for repair are the same. As you can see in the photo, this CRV had a tiny gouge on the driver side front door. Once the door handle is removed and the repair has been made, the entire vehicle has to be prepped for paint. This includes extensive amounts of paper, tape, and plastic, as well as the labor time involved. It ensures that the paint goes onto only the desired area, preventing overspray on the adjacent panels. There are also times when working this close to the next panel (the rear door in this case) will require blending paint into that adjacent panel as well, followed by clear coating the paint. We pride ourselves on giving fair and honest pricing, along with the highest quality workmanship.
